Roman Emperors and Other Leaders

Here is a list of some of the well-known and influential Roman Emperors.

Rome had over 140 Emperors in 500 years. Some ruled for many years and others for very short periods.

The word Emperor comes from the Latin ‘Imperator’ which means Military Commander.

This list starts with Julius Caesar. He was not an Emperor, but was an influential leader of Rome, a General and a Dictator.

Also included is Marc Antony ‘A great military leader’.
